Hey everybody, this is my first blog ever! So i hope I don't mess up too bad! Anyway i decided to post something because Oprah got me thinking of what I can do to live my best life. Yesterday my sister who lives in Michigan (i Live in Indiana) called me about her Relay for life team. I thought this is the perfect opportunity to do something that is greater than me!
Now a member of her team I'm excited to join in thier project to help not only raise money for Cancer research but also help the dreams of girls who want to go to prom! We are getting people to donate old prom dresses, braidmaids dresses or anything that you have laying around (in good shape) so these girls can go to prom and experience one of the rights of passage of high school!
I would love to hear from anyone who has anything to donate. Right now we are working with about 8 high schools in the grater flint, MI area! However if any lives in Indiana please don't hesitate to donate also. {We are also selling Christmas wreaths for 20$

I am so thrilled to see my sister as excited as we are about raising money for the American Cancer Society!
Our Prom dress event (yet to be named) will take place in March 2009.
We hope to not only have wonderful dresses to choose from but local businesses that will help support the event. We would like to offer discounts, gift cards etc. for prom related expenses. Examples include shoes, accessories, dinner, salon visits, flowers etc. The list could go on forever.
Our team is in Grand Blanc Michigan and we hope to surpass the money we raised last year!
